Use our Method and explore the "Believe" path
Let's start with the very basics of business....
Every business transaction has the very same three elements:
1. An offer
2. Acceptance of that offer
3. Consideration
"Consideration" means that both the customer and the merchant get something of fair value.
In a perfect world, business transactions happen continuously, and profits will flow indefinitely. Unfortunately, in the real world, sales and profits can fluctuate negatively. This may happen when your customer is moved emotionally in a negative fashion by external influences. This may cause the "Belief" that your customer has in your business to fluctuate negatively. Consequently, causing your sales performance to also negatively fluctuate.
It was this risk of negative sales that lead to the creation of the Business Development Industry.
Business Development was created to help find new ways to positively influence your customer. By having your customer choose your business over a competitor, insures that your sales and profit numbers will be positive and consistent. Unfortunately, even with the advent of Business Development, your business can still be at risk of having negative fluctuations.
According to our Method of Business Development, this first strategy is called: Consideration through Performance or " Sales and Marketing" performance. To put it simply, your business is making money by expending time and effort to move your customers emotionally, so they believe in your business and buy your product or service.
Please....
Don't confuse Consideration through Performance with the concept of "Follow-through Performance"
"Follow-through Performance" refers to the actual transaction with the customer. When the customer accepts the terms of the transaction, all your business must do is just "Follow through" and perform the delivery of the product or service and collect the payment.
As outlined above, the issue is that your customer may or may not be accepting of your business and what it has to offer. While your business may be poised to follow-through, that can't happen until your customer "Believes" in your business and its product or service.
Our Method just defined traditional Business Development as going the "Believe" path, but there is an even more effective path to Business Development
The "Understand" path.
